Since 1990, HELLER has serviced Europe’s second-largest machining market from the ground. Today, the branch office in San Pietro is serving both the automotive and component supply industry on the basis of the growing range of products and services, as well as all relevant application fields of machining. Flexible, creative and innovative.
In 1990, the Italian subsidiary HELLER Italia Macchine Utensili S.r.l. was established in the northern Italian town of Settimo di Pescantina, not far from Verona. From the very outset, HELLER Italy has enjoyed huge success in the automotive industry with numerous reference customers, including Fiat and Ferrari. San Pietro in Cariano has been home to the service and sales branch office since 2008.
Today, HELLER Italy also develops customised cost-effective and sustainable processes based on its broad universal machine range for sectors such as mould and die construction, aerospace and oil and gas.
As Fabian Mattes, Managing Director of HELLER Italy, explains »we currently have 18 employees, including nine in the Service Department, three in Sales, two in Administration and one Technical Services Coordinator. In the applications department, for example, we prepare time studies, handle turnkey projects and drive forward Simultaneous Engineering in cooperation with our customers. Our service activities, however, are also fundamental.
We cover the entire range of tasks ourselves – from installation and commissioning, to customer training events, technical support and spare parts deliveries through to maintenance and overhauls. We now support over 400 machines on the market. Our sales vary greatly from around 15 to 20 million Euro. This is because we often allow our customers to buy directly from the parent company in Nürtingen.«
